Which is the best laptop?
3Laptops.co.uk - That's a hard question to answer. It depends on your own requirements. If you're after a Notebook - best for travelling - then the new Dell Mini 1012 is the current best seller. If a bigger sized laptop with the better performance is best suited then the excellent Samsung R530 is proving the most popular with 3's customers.

Hi. I'm trying to compare laptop specs but I can't see the full model numbers listed anywhere. Can you supply these to me please?
3Laptops.co.uk - Hi David. Yeah, sure. The current model numbers are as follows: Samsung N130-KA03; Compaq CQ61-312SA; Compaq Mini 311c-020SA; Samsung R519-FAG3; Toshiba T130-11H; Samsung R720-JS01. Hope that helps.

Opted for the Acer 751 as I wanted a compact notebook type laptop but with the wider screen. It's fantastic! I didn't think about it but the wider screen means you get a wider keyboard which makes typing really easy. Even for a two finger typist like me. Battery life is great and I haven't noticed that the internet is slow in any way. Highly recommended.

I've just picked up a Compaq Mini laptop for my son who is off to college next month. It's great - not sure I want to give it to him now!!

These offers appear good but when you try to buy them you just get refused. I've tried twice and been rejected both times. These offers just don't exist!
3Laptops.co.uk - We're sorry to hear that you haven't been able to take advantage of 3's great value laptop deals, but they are genuine. It's hard to comment on your transaction without having knowledge of the sale but most likely you were rejected on the grounds of a credit check. This is the same practice used by the mobile industry for contract phone purchases. The credit pass rate is determined by the price of the laptop with higher priced laptops being hardest to obtain contractually. Don't assume that all the laptops have the same credit rating. If you've been refused once already, you stand a much better chance of passing the credit checks on a less expensive laptop. Currently you're most likely to find success with the Acer Aspire.

My friend has just received her Acer laptop and it's a lot nicer than the £17.50 price tag suggests. I'm looking for myself now!

When will the HP2133 be back in stock?
3Laptops.co.uk - We don't have any news as yet but as soon as we hear anything 3Laptops.co.uk will publicise it.
*** 3Laptops.co.uk - Good news - They're back in stock once more and at the promotional price of £25!

I can vouch for that too. The HP 2133 laptops are leagues ahead of those other small makes. Quality

I've seen this HP 2133 reviewed in a computer magazine and since then one on Tottenham Court Road. It's a lovely piece of kit. Much better quality than those nasty Webbooks and Eee PCs. For £25 a month this is an absolute bargain!

I'm really interested in this deal but it's still a lot of money to hand out without seeing the laptop first. Are there any shops that sell these HP laptops? Specifically the HP530.
3Laptops.co.uk - The HP 530 and HP DV6910 Pavilion are current HP models so you might be able to find one in your local computer store. The HP 2133 is an exclusive so you may struggle, but don't worry too much as 3 offer a 14-day Money Back Guarantee if you're unhappy with your purchase.

I think there may be issues with the stock of the stick modems as I ordered a white one and received a black one. It works mind.

I've had my laptop and broadband stick for a couple of weeks now and thought I'd write a little summary of how things have gone. I paid the extra 50 quid and opted for the top of the range laptop as I was going to buy mobile broadband anyway and the laptop deal was a bonus really. I can't speak for the other 3 laptops available as I've not seen them but boy am I pleased with this one. I had slight reservations that my 'free' laptop would be in some way inferior to one from the high street but I can honestly say this is a nicer unit than my last Dell laptop that I'm sure cost me a bit over £600! The spec is the spec and I don't really understand all that, but I'm really pleased with the build quality. The buttons for the mousepad feel nice, as does the keyboard, and there's a really nice finish to the body of the laptop, which I can only describe as like a fingerprint - that statement probably doesn't do it justice - trust me, it looks and feels really good! I reckon this will last a lot longer than 24 months if I look after it.
As for the mobile broadband - well to be honest I already new what it was like because a work colleague of mine has it and really rates it. I thought the set-up was going to be tricky but it must have only taken 5 minutes and I was up and running, surfing the internet without the fuss of wires. The software that connects you up has some nice features too and clearly states how much data you've downloaded - I've been surprised how little data I use. Maybe I'm not as much of a geek as I thought I was :o) Great products, and as long as the laptop lasts the 24 months - which I'm sure it will - I can't fault it. Comes recommended.

I've only had my laptop for a few days now but so far so good. I opted for the HP Mini Notebook purely as I wanted to try it on the train while I commute. The broadband was easy to set up and it worked the first time I tried it on the train. I travel between Slough and London Paddington and it doesn't seem to drop connection at all - I'm well chuffed. The desktop at home is currently redundant too!

I bought the AOL 'free' laptop deal from Car phone Warehouse a while back for home but opted for the 3 offer for my son who's just started college. Thought the mobile broadband would better suit him - and hopefully it will keep him out my hair! I have to say on first impressions, the 3 laptop seems better quality than the home one - my one! :0( At least he's happy!

My new DV6910 and broadband dongle arrived this morning, strangely from two different places, but at least they arrived on the same day. I'm just going home now to unpack and set them up - I'll post back when I've used them...
